OFFSIDES

At Blue Line: Whistle, play dead! Defending team takes control of puck. Offending team "clears the zone"***.

Two Line Pass: Whistle, play dead! Defending team takes control of puck.


GOALTENDER FREEZING THE PUCK

Whistle, play dead! Defending team takes control of the puck. Offending team "clears the zone"***.


PUCK OUT OF PLAY

Whistle, play dead! If in neutral zone, control goes to non-guilty team. If inside blue line, control simply goes to the defending team. Offending team "clears the zone"***.

*** "clears the zone" means that ALL 5 skaters must be outside the blueline in the neutral zone BEFORE challenging the puck carrier.


ICING

If goalie STAYS IN THE CREASE, whistle, play dead! Defending team takes control of puck. Offending team WAITS IN THE NEUTRAL ZONE. If goalie LEAVES THE CREASE, play continues.


SLAPSHOTS

If blade of stick is higher than knee: Whistle, play dead. Defending team takes control of puck. Offending team WAITS IN THE NEUTRAL ZONE.


FACEOFFS

At beginning of game, and after goals.


PENALTIES

Penalty shot to player fouled PLUS a 3 minute penalty assessed to the guilty player. Penalized team does NOT play a man short.

NOTE: Use discretion... everyone is out for fun and injuries should be avoided.

Coincidental penalties: 3 minutes each, NO penalty shot.


SELF-PRESERVATION

(Defence & Forwards) NO falling to block shots.

Captains will give referees full support.
